On March 13, Lu Jianzhong, President of CCCI called on Lu Shaye, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Canada. The two sides exchanged ideas on CCCC's business development in Canada. Sun Jiwen, Minister Counselor for Economic and Commercial Affairs was present.
In the meeting, Lu briefly introduced CCCC and its development in North America, and elaborate on CCCC's acquisition of AECON, Canada. The two sides looked into the response of relevant Canadian institutions, media reaction and possible problems, and reached consensus on the countermeasures and attitude to be taken.
Ambassador Lu appreciated CCCC's global strategic layout and business development, and was pleased with CCCC's steadiness and appropriate response during the acquisition process. Through the meeting, the embassy had a better understanding of CCCC, which will play an important role in further supporting CCCC’s business development in Canada.
